  • Skill Upgradation: Basic training of 5-7 days and Advanced training of 15+ days, with a stipend of ₹500 per day.

  • Credit Support: Collateral-free enterprise development loans—up to ₹1 lakh (first tranche, 18 months repayment) and ₹2 lakh (second tranche, 30 months repayment) at a concessional interest rate of 5%.
  • Incentive for Digital Transactions: ₹1 per transaction for up to 100 transactions monthly.
  • Marketing Support: Quality certification, branding, onboarding on e-commerce platforms, and marketing assistance.

Who is Eligible?#

  • An artisan or craftsperson working with hands and tools in one of the 18 family-based traditional trades.
  • Minimum age should be 18 years on the date of registration.
  • Should be engaged in the concerned trade on the date of registration.
  • Should not have availed loans under similar credit-based schemes like PMEGP, PM SVANidhi, or MUDRA in the past 5 years.

How to Apply#

  1. The registration is completely online and free of charge.
  2. Artisans can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to register on the PM Vishwakarma Portal.
  3. It involves a three-step verification process:
    • Verification at the Gram Panchayat/ULB level
    • Vetting by the District Implementation Committee
    • Approval by the Screening Committee

1. Is a guarantor required for the loan? No, the loans under PM Vishwakarma are strictly collateral-free, and the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) provides the guarantee.

2. Can an existing loan defaulter apply? If you have defaulted on bank loans, you may not be eligible for the credit support component of the scheme.
